About
After working as a professional photographer and educator for the past 10 years, I am combining my love of children and my love of image making by taking portraits of children and their families.
Making art has always been an indispensable part of my life—both as a creative outlet and as a discipline. I have been documenting through photography ever since my older brother gave me his Nikon F3 and taught me how to expose film with the “sunny sixteen” rule. Since then I have worked in many different areas of the photographic field from product commercial photography to journalistic and documentary work.
Currently I live in Redwood City, California with my husband and two sons. I have a Masters degree in Dance Education from Stanford University and a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from UC Berkeley. Before becoming a mother, I worked for six years as a High School Photography and Dance teacher at both Palo Alto and Gunn High Schools.
